GAL FRIDAY SERVICES
Meaningful Support for Challenging Tasks
As a professional writer and editor, I have spent many years learning how to distinguish between what’s important and what is taking up space or—worse—obscuring the power and poignancy of what is trying to come forward. For years, I’ve applied the same techniques of space-clearing and practices of discernment I use in my writing work to my daily living, and I love working with others to clear a path in their own work environments and homes to support a more harmonious, productive, purposeful, and joyful relationship with their surroundings. Whether it’s the leftover unpacked boxes of a move, technology trouble, or a junk drawer stuffed to the gills, I find that unfinished external projects have a way of reflecting our internal landscape—often what feels unsettled outside of oneself has a way of also feeling unsettled inside.
As Gal Friday, I companion others who could use an extra set of hands (and brains) to tackle what feels unmanageable alone. This might look like decluttering an office, clearing out a garage or basement, tackling a troublesome technology roadblock, sorting through files, trying to create a more peaceful space to work or relax, or designing a template for better record-keeping. This work is all about fine-tuning our personal GPS systems to make clearer, sustainable, satisfying, and supportive choices. If you have a pesky to-do on your list that never seems to get crossed off, let’s tackle it together!
I'm honest, focused, efficient, friendly, communicative, and reliable. I charge $25 / hour and have weekday and weekend flexibility.
Do you have questions or want to get in touch about a task or project that could use some support? Write to me or call (415) 265-0085. Midcoast Maine inquiries (though if your project might be able to be done remotely, I’m happy to discuss!)
“Years later and I am still using some of the tools and perspectives Maya shared with me. They continue to help me when I feel stuck or overwhelmed!
This really speaks to the lasting impact of her work.”
