there’s never been a better time to…

Fourth grade was the wrong year to try ballet. 
The freshman musical’s limited solos sidelined the altos entirely.
The college comedy troupe was not the vehicle for long-winded storytelling.
The basketball team had a far more imposing center trying out. 
The job did not come with a window or a wardrobe that translated elsewhere. 
The guru demanded travel to high altitudes.
The famous artist was not looking for a protégé. 
But the audience has since slimmed down. The reviews have all been suspended. 
I can become someone else now. Someone 
I never even dreamed of.
